Mead Treadwell launches his campaign to bring decision-making home to Alaska

Anchorage, AK – On Thursday, Lieutenant Governor Mead Treadwell launched his U.S. Senate campaign to bring decision-making home to Alaska.  Friends and supporters from across the region joined Treadwell at his new Anchorage campaign headquarters for the launch.

“Today we start our campaign to bring decision-making home to Alaska,” said Treadwell. “Alaskans deserve a Senator that shares their conservative values. A Senator that is pro-life, defends the Second Amendment, supports traditional marriage and a Senator that will repeal Obamacare.”

At the launch Treadwell announced that the co-chairs for his campaign are former University of Alaska President Mark Hamilton and retired USMC colonel, Catkin Burton.

“I have known Mead for many years. He is a man of great conviction, principle and honor and I am pleased to stand with Mead,” said Catkin Burton, retired USMC Colonel. “Alaska needs a Senator in Washington who will be a tireless advocate for our state and a Senator who understands the unique opportunities and challenges that we face.”

Treadwell added, “I believe when an Alaskan Senator says ‘Alaska first,’ that person should mean it. I will work everyday to give Alaskans the power to do what we do best: create and innovate on our own lands. As a state we know how to safely extract the wealth from our land, responsibly manage our forests and develop the energy our country desperately needs. We can create jobs and protect the environment, Washington has failed.”

In addition to the two co-chairs, the Treadwell for Senate campaign announced the support of the following individuals who will serve on the campaign committee:
